Escort Web Design
How do you measure return on investment from an escort web site design? Design takes a lot of money and time, and what do you get in return?
It’s not difficult to measure return on investment when it comes to your directory ads. You pay money to the directory to put up an ad. You receive five times that amount back during the first hour of your first session the directory ad brought you. It’s not hard to see that you get a very good return on your investment in this way.
It’s also not difficult to track and test how to leverage your ad to get you the very best results. Experiment with changing your photos and see how many more or fewer calls come in that week.
A directory ad gives you very few controllable variables you can play around with, so the testing is much easier.
But when it comes to the actual design of your website, how do you measure your return on investment?
The best question to start with is “What Do You Want The Most?”
What is your number one goal you hope to accomplish with your escort website? Getting clear on this first is invaluable to your project. What you are hoping your return to be should drive the decisions you make about your design.
Maybe you want to:
- Attract and Attain a Higher Caliber of Clientele
- Avoid Time-Wasters and Abusive Clients
- Book More Calls
- Book Fewer Calls, But More Multi-Hour Sessions
- Raise Your Rates By Branding Yourself as a VIP
- Have One Central Place for Your Most Current Info
- Spend Less Time Screening
- Stay Safe and Secure
- Start a Member’s Site or Have a Shopping Cart
The most important first step you can take when considering your own escort website is figuring out what the most pending thing you wish to achieve with it. Without knowing this, it’s going to be tricky knowing how your site should be built.
Furthermore, without knowing your number one goal, it’s quite possible you will end up hiring the wrong person to build your site for you, if you aren’t planning on building it yourself.
I’m going to talk about the three roads you can take with your design, and the outcomes they lead to.
The Cheap Route: Free sites, cheap sites, inexpensive designer sites
Cons: No control over site, ugly ads placed in prominent places, updates take forever if they even happen, no power to make your own simple changes, loss of control with your web address, out-dated template designs
Outcome: You might think that skimping on the cost will help your return on investment. However, the damage that this does to your business will actually create a negative return. When you skimp on design, your site, which represents you, reflects a negative message to visitors. An out-dated, hard to look at, mediocre design will repel high class clientele. They will never book with you if your site reflects poor taste. This route won’t cost you any money, but it will cost you a lot of potential money. This is design that actually hurts your business.
The Amazing Sunset Route: Beautiful, pixel perfect, clean design
Cons: The best designers cost the most money. You will be spending a lot of money for a great design.
Outcome: While this is aesthetically pleasing, design like this is just a matter of taste, not of measurable revenue. You might not like the way the dry cleaner’s store looks, or the label on a bottle of water, but it’s not having any effect on their sales. Beautiful design alone cannot help you make sales. Men do not make purchase decisions based on design alone. Design helps to push sales, but it is missing the element in the money route. It has no “stand-alone” impact on your return on investment.
The Money Route: Smart usable design built around a single-call-action
Cons: You will typically pay a lot of money for a site like this and you will work harder with a site like this writing blogs, newsletters, and creating content. Or you will need to invest in a copy writer to do it for you.
Outcome: This is the route that will lead you to a positive return on your investment. These sites are built around one “single-call-to-action” meaning their whole purpose is to do one thing. If your number one goal is to book more calls and make more money, a site like this is what you need.
There are few entertainers who are using smart design. It’s no wonder. Most of them are less concerned with the Money Route and would rather race one another down the Amazing Sunset route. It’s quite an honor when all of your peers are jealous of your website’s design.
Far too many entertainers are walking the Cheap Route, because they don’t yet realize how much it is actually hurting their business. Yet, if you asked them, they would call you crazy for spending MONEY on a silly website.
So, what do you do? How do you reconcile the pros and cons on each to decide which option is the best for you?
Is it possible to get all three pros with one design? Is there a such design that is inexpensive, beautiful, and helps you make more money?
If you want all three, you have to take the much less traveled “Cake and Eat it, too” Route:
1. Make a game plan. Highly recommended to hire a marketing consultant.
2. Register your own domain and adult-friendly hosting.
3. Build your own site w/your marketer’s guidelines.
4. Learn how to update your blog and send newsletters.
5. Interact and enjoy!
Of course, not every entertainer has the time (or the interest) in learning how to build her website. I don’t blame her. It is a lot of work, when you do it right.
If you are unable to go the full “Cake and Eat it, too” Route, then getting it as close to possible will ensure you a successful project that gives you a high return on your investment.
If you are interested in having a designer build your site, your marketer should be able to help you find someone reasonably priced for you. They might even have a designer or coder on staff.
When you come aboard as a new client to myHoneysuckle, I am the marketer for your campaign and I’m also your project manager for our entire project.
I usually create your design mock-up (half w/Amazing Sunset thinking, half w/Money Route thinking), and then I send it to my coder to create. The cost of the “design” is actually bundled in with my marketing services
This eliminates a huge “build” cost that you would normally pay to a designer.
A marketer can do so much for you. They are really handy when you need someone to help you actualize your goals.
If you are are seriously gung-ho about building and maintaining your site yourself - bravo!
Just be prepared to spend some money (at least $100 per year) and a lot of time, especially if you plan to do it the right way.
